Psychology Beyond Borders

 
Psychology Beyond Borders (PBB) is an international nonprofit organization focusing on the psychosocial impacts of terror attacks, armed conflicts, and natural disasters. PBB combines psychosocial service delivery and research regarding effective psychosocial strategies to traumatic events. Our ultimate goal is to alleviate psychological suffering.

Because of the positive response to the call for proposals, and the high level of quality of the applications received in 2008, PBB has decided that the Mission Awards will be an annual award. PROJECT IN FOCUS

LIVING IN FEAR OF NATURAL DISASTERS: INDONESIA

PBB is working with school children, their parents and teachers who suffered the effects of the Yogyakarta earthquake and who continue to live in fear of natural disasters. PBB's goal is to develop a greater understanding of the relationship between trauma exposure, parenting, and post-traumatic psychological distress in children. Click here to learn more.
